The Delesan Kailawan Health Center provides medical assistance, emergency transport, training and education on preventive healthcare. Malnutrition is common among children, and they tend to be vulnerable to infectious diseases because their physical constitution is weak and they lack the necessary resistance. Malaria, intestinal worms and gastro-enteritis are common ailments. The Sisters and their co-workers in the health program monitor the health and nutritional needs of the girls as well as serving the wider Dulangan Menubo people. For critical patients, transport is provided to take them to the local hospital to the Regional or Provincial hospital, a three-hour four-wheel drive journey down the mountains on rugged roads.
