A Gratitude Letter From Khon Xavoan – Laos

My name is Khon Xavoan. At this precious time, I am sitting near to my mom at our small house and I would like to express our gratitude to you for many good things that you have done, especially we thank you very much for your love and support.

I am the only one child of my parents. My dad had died when I was two years old and I have not remembered his face at all. My mom told me that she was very shock after the death of my dad.  More than four years ago, I dropped out of school because my Mom did not have enough money to pay for my school fees. I was really upset.  However, I felt very lucky to meet the RNDM sisters at that moment. The sisters supported me to live happy and took me to their community in Pakse.

I have recently completed high school level and I am very happy for having got a good result. I have just returned to my village for a few days in the summer holidays. After that, I will be back in Pakse for the examination entrance to universities. I am very interested in this exams and I hope I will get a good result to pursue the dream of becoming an English teacher in the future.

I am very happy to stay with the sisters and my friends in the same age. Together we share our lives, our hope and our dreams. We help each other to overcome the challenges with the living environment and to be stronger in our faith.

Thank you very much for helping me. I always study hard and do my best. I often keep you in my daily prayers.
