It was a beautiful and unforgettable day for 11 young women, who left bustling Saigon and travelled to quiet Da Lat where we have our Postulancy house. When the night dew had not yet lifted under the early rays of the sun and the sky of Da Lat stretched in peaceful colours, 11 Aspirants with their hearts filled with joy began their journey as RNDM Postulants on 25th July 2023.
The ceremony began at 5 am in our Chapel. As each Aspirant was called by name, their joy was reflected on their faces as they moved into the sanctuary. Hope was kindled in their desire to live and serve God. The Province Leader, welcomed the new Postulants. It is here in Da Lat where they will be cared for and guided to grow in a closer union with God so that they will discover more clearly their call to Religious Life.
The ceremony continued with the celebration of Mass by Fr. Bartolomeo Lam Son, SDB, RNDM Sisters of the Da Lat Community and 40 young girls who were attending a 3 days RNDM Vocation Programme. In the spirit of praise and thanksgiving to God, Father invited the Postulants to always be conscious of living modestly, being open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and to courageously respond to God’s call. Father emphasized that, “Living the religious life is not about waiting for the time of making vows but to live right now. It is also not just focusing on laws to be observed but enjoying the joy of one’s vocation, the joy of being with God and with the Sisters in every moment of life.”
The joy of the ceremony continued with a shared meal, where the new Postulants were greeted amidst much laughter. May God grant them many blessings during this special time.
