Children’s Day Celebration

“The children of today will make the India of tomorrow, the way we bring them up will determine the future of the country.” Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru,
Children’s Day is celebrated across India on 14 November, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru the Indian first Prime Minister. St. Mary’s High School, Narkatiaganj anticipated the celebration of the Children’s Day on the 10th of November on account of Chhath Puja vacation. The students were so excited to celebrate their day with the teachers. The school compound vibrated with extra joy and happiness while the children greeted one another with smiles. The program began with a meaningful prayer service by the sisters and teachers followed by a skit, dances, songs and speeches. The teachers performed some program to make the students, feel loved and honored. As sister greeted them “Happy Children’s Day” the nursery children excitedly responded with broad smiles “same to you sister” and there was a hearty laugh among the students. But it reminded all of us the little child alive in each of us.
The program was concluded with a message from Sr. Rajbir Kujur, the principal and appreciated the messages given through their programs. The school management wished them a happy holiday and a meaningful Chhath Puja celebration. All in all, it was a day of fun and enjoyment.
