The Sisters of the Congregation of Our Lady of the Missions of India Northeast Province are blessed to have five RNDMs young women Bimla Kandulna, Matilda Biam, Meristella Riwah, Merista Sohshang and Helena Mary Pamshong from India South Province who made perpetual profession in St. Mary’s Convent, Shillong. It takes courage to say, YES! to the call because: “Why God calls me will remain a mystery forever”.
Faith in the Divine love and mercy, the five sisters resolved to long term commitment to God through the RNDM way of life in the presence of the witnesses: parents, family members, friends, religious and priests and well wishers. The RNDMs are proud of you dear sisters!
Seventeen priests concelebrated the Holy Eucharist with Most Reverend Bishop Victor Lyngdoh, Nongstoin Diocese. In his inspiring homily Bishop Victor spoke about the call of God, “You are precious to me’’, “You are the most beautiful and treasured..”, (Is 43:1-5). God’s faithfulness, assuring presence is demonstrated in the experiences of one’s life’s journey. Often we humans are unable to understand God’s ways; yet, listening with faith to the small voice, one dares to courageously response,” Yes, Lord, Here I am…” and Jesus will see us through to the destination (John 6:14-21). Bishop Victor a man deeply spiritual invited the professed and the congregation to walk with trust and confident especially when faith is tested; be faithful as God is.
God chose a woman, one of the poor and oppressed to be an agent of empowerment and liberation.
The Five sisters are grateful to the parents and the Congregation, the CLT. With gratitude they recalled fond memories of the Philippines Region and Balay Euphrasie that cradled the sisters during the six months preparation.
What we are today is because of our parents and the Congregation.
May the New Year 2016 bring more peace, prosperity in everyone’s heart, in every home and family, in the Congregation and in our world. Thank You! Khublei! Salamat po!
